State Labor Management Meeting
Posted on Friday, September, 3, 2010

Folks here is some info that was discussed at the State /Management meeting which would also include the pre C.S.E.A. meeting.

All time off request(s) need to filed five (5) days in advanced not the ten (10) day notice anymore this is in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

The Policy and Procedure Manual is only in Draft Form due to the current inconsistent language in the policy that conflicts with the collective bargaining agreement and being outdated

There is no longer pre-shift briefing we were not being compensated for early arrival, therefore, Racing will send out a Policy change to reflect this i.e. At Buffalo we send a e-mail to our relief we don't use the brief anymore just relieved by .

It appears C.S.E.A. will be requesting Racing to produce bid sheets for each casino. It is labors position that the collective bargaining agreement may not been followed in regards to bidding of shift(s) assignment in accordance with article 44 of the contract. If that is the case we will be requesting to bid shift(s) in accordance with article 44.

There has been much discussion on the future of the D and E line neither of these line are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, there are no M.O.U. or other side bar agreements with C.S.E.A. in place for these shift(s) to function. However a M.O.U. with language that is acceptable to labor could be an option. I.e. The current language states its management rights of assignment which is not in accordance with the contract it Must be by Seniority only.
