This program provides tuition assistance to CSEA-represented NYS OSU and DMNA employees who wish to take welding courses. Eligible employees can receive two targeted tuition benefits (vouchers or reimbursements). Each targeted benefit can cover one non-credit welding course up to $1,040 or one credit-bearing welding course, up to a maximum of four credits at the resident tuition per credit rate, not to exceed $260 per credit. Applications must be received by March 31, 2016 and courses must be in session sometime between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.

announce the Tuition Benefits Program 2015-2016 for eligible CSEA-represented
NYS Executive Branch members.

Attached is a promotional flyer announcing the program. Please feel free to make copies of the flyer for posting. An email announcing the program was sent directly to each eligible CSEA member who used the program in the past year.
Some of the program highlights include:
- Eligible CSEA-represented New York State Executive Branch members may apply for TWO tuition vouchers or tuition reimbursements. Applications must be received by March 31, 2016.
- Any course taken must be in session sometime between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.
- Applications will be accepted by mail (NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training, Corporate Plaza East - Suite 502, 240 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 12203), or by fax at (518) 486-1989 or (518) 473-0056.
- Educational Advisement Services are available to members by calling (518) 486-7814 or (800) 253-4332.

The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training is pleased to announce two new online learning certificate programs for CSEA-represented NYS employees. The Microsoft Word 2010 Certificate Program is a learning opportunity for members who want to improve their skills and enhance their knowledge of Microsoft Word. The Working Effectively in Teams Certificate Program provides a self-directed way for members to develop the skills needed to be an effective and valued part of a team. Members can apply for one or both of these programs between March 16 and April 16, 2015. In order to earn a certificate, participants must successfully complete all required courses between March 16 and September 30, 2015. Members may take courses at home or at work with supervisory approval. Please distribute the attached promotional flyers to your CSEA membership. Space in these statewide programs is limited so please encourage your members to apply as soon as possible.
